The 2009 pump test season is now coming to a close.  With the onset of winter and the colder months many fire departments are holding off on their annual pump tests. 

TFS is still able to provide pump tests in colder weather.  NFPA 1911 allows for tests to be done when the ambiant air temperature is zero degrees Fahrenheit.  Should your FD need a pump test during the winter call us at 201-384-4780. You may also fax us at 201-384-4965.

If the exhaust port for the engine exhaust points downward toward the ground or at the rear tires, place a piece of plywood on the road or stood up against the tire to protect them from the heat coming out of the exhaust pipe.  Left unprotected, the road could develop a pothole and the tire could be weakened.
